Fitter. Healthier. Happier.

Fitter. Healthier. Happier.

Everyone’s perception of being fit, healthy and happy is different. Whether you have exercised your entire life or just started with a fitness journey, being fit and healthy is a personal experience you take on to better yourself.

Striving to become fitter, healthier and happier is not restricted to an ideal weight or fitness level. It should be viewed as a way to establish a healthy relationship with yourself and to ultimately create a positive connection between a balanced and active lifestyle, a healthy weight and happiness.

FITTER

It is no secret that increased physical activity has many health benefits—both physically and mentally. Exercise does not only help with weight loss; it has been proven to improve your mood and decrease feelings of stress, anxiety and depression. The body releases various hormones when exercising, including endorphins and serotonin.

ENDORPHINS

Endorphins are neurotransmitters (hormones the body produces) that act as the body’s natural painkillers and mood elevators. Endorphins go into the bloodstream when you exercise, temporarily decreasing discomfort or pain. Endorphins activate positive feelings in the body and are released when you do something you enjoy, like exercise.

SEROTONIN

Also commonly referred to as the ‘happy hormone’, serotonin is a neurotransmitter that carries messages between nerve cells in the brain throughout the body. These chemical messages give signals to the body that affect your mood, emotions, sleep, relaxation, appetite, libido and digestion.

HEALTHIER

When you commit to living healthier, you commit to prioritising yourself. That means that every choice you make should enhance your health, wellness and happiness, to ultimately establish a healthy relationship with yourself. Consistent decisions will result in a healthier lifestyle and a healthier you. HAPPIER. Whatever your reason for embarking on a fitness journey might be, when you make a commitment to become fitter, you will automatically become healthier and happier. What you put into your body—physically and mentally—will determine your happiness. It all comes down to the choices that you make in life.
