TEAM PROFILE

HomeBoyz Rugby is a semi-professional rugby club in Kenya, based in the busy Capital of Nairobi and currently competes in the top tier rugby competition of the Kenya Rugby Union (KRU), known as the Kenya Cup.The club was founded in 2009 and is one of the youngest clubs in Kenya. Known more commonly as “the DeeJays” after the popular national radio station HomeBoyz Radio as well as their slick dance moves by players, management and fans alike.

In its short time around, the club has managed to retain the Eric Shirley Shield (Kenya’s 2nd Tier Rugby Competition) back to back in 2010 and 2011 before being promoted to the Premier Competition the Kenya Cup.

The club also boasts an academy team and a successful Ladies rugby team which feature many Kenya National Players.While constantly being a competitive force in the Kenya Cup, the club boasts a rich History in the annual National 7s circuit having been crowned champions in both 2016 and 2018, whilst ending their 2017 season as overall circuit runners up.

The DeeJays pride themselves on building friendships on and off the field everywhere they go by playing a brutally hard style of rugby and socializing with both fans and opposition post match through the help of its parent companies HomeBoyz Entertainment and HomeBoyz Radio.
